The JFR Team

  • Janice

    LEAD ORGANIZER/OWNER - DENVER, CO

Since 2015, Just Focus and Reorganize has been owned and operated by Janice Rostron (formerly Reid). Janice has been organizing the spaces around her for as far back as she can remember--just ask her family, friends, former roommates, and colleagues!

Janice's experience and wide range of interests have given her the ability to create and maintain a balanced lifestyle. She believes that simplicity is the key to success.

Janice has been playing guitar for over 20 years. She has played shows throughout California and has recorded two full-length albums and one EP (during which time she earned the moniker "Janice F'n Reid" a.k.a. "JFR").

Janice received a B.A. in Legal Studies (with a Minor in Music) from UC Berkeley and has since joined the Cal Alumni Association. GO BEARS! She then earned an M.Ed. and a Multiple Subject teaching credential from UCLA. She worked as a public elementary school teacher for 8 years before deciding to pursue a career in Professional Organizing.

Janice is an active member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO). She has earned NAPO Specialist Certificates in Workplace Productivity and Team Productivity. She is a member of NAPO’s Environmentally-Conscious Organizers special interest group. She served as the Los Angeles chapter’s Treasurer for the 2016-2017 term.

Janice is also a subscriber to the Institute of Challenging Disorganization (ICD®) and recently received the Level II Chronic Disorganization Specialist® Certificate.

In 2022, Janice moved to Denver to grow the business…and purchase her first home!

  • Laura

LEAD ORGANIZER - LOS ANGELES, CA

Laura joined JFR in 2022 and is a thoughtful, caring, and organized addition to our team. Laura has always lived a fast paced life wearing many hats. Family has always come first for her, and community second.

While raising her three children, she always volunteered to be the Room Mom and Team Mom and was a very active PTO member. Serving as Secretary and leading many fundraisers and organizing field trips. She also started a grassroots organization bringing music back to three local schools.

For years she ran the After-School Enrichment program for the elementary school and later started a similar program for the Junior High School. In addition to the usual after school programs (Science Lab, Math Tutoring, Chess Club, Art Classes) she was determined to introduce the Junior High students to sports so they would be ready to compete in High School. Her hard work paid off and volleyball, football, tennis, basketball, and karate were offered to the students.

She was also very involved in and held Board positions with the local Lions Club, Woman’s Club and Chamber of Commerce.

Later she purchased a local coffee shop that became a great place for her to mentor local teens and work closely with the High School Clubs. The shop became the local spot to showcase local musicians, poetry nights, game nights, art shows, tutoring, and classes.

Currently she works evenings at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. Providing five star service in their Italian Restaurant, Culina. She started and runs the Employee Wellness Team. In the past six years they’ve hiked many miles together, explored tide pools and grottoes, participated in Marathons, Half Marathons, 5&10 K events, Century Rides, Sky Diving, indoor rock climbing and much more.

She organizes an annual Warm clothes drive for the homeless, battered women’s shelter drives, two APLA teams, Make A Wish Foundation Walk and is currently working with the Red Cross to hold a Blood Drive in January. She is a cochair for the Thanksgiving food drive and Holiday Toys for Tots efforts.

In her spare time she enjoys traveling, photography, horseback riding, backpacking, fishing, cycling, baking and tennis.
