A cluttered and disorganized home can be exhausting. The thought of getting it under control can be overwhelming. I understand and I am here to help!

I follow a simple organizing process to create systems for less stressful, more peaceful living.

  • SORT - I handle this part. It doesn’t matter how cluttered the space is or how disorganized the items are, I start with a “chunk” and create categories for you.

  • DECLUTTER - This is where you come in. You decide what stays and what goes (keep, donate, recycle, trash, return, move).

  • ORGANIZE - You get a break! I create systems and store items in a way that works best for you and the space. I use the organizing products you have on-hand, but may recommend products that will help make better use of the space.

  • REPEAT - I continue the process for the next “chunk.”

  • DISPOSE - I drop off one car-load of donations per session. You will receive the tax-deductible donation receipt in your email. I also have a myriad of resources to dispose of items in an environmentally-conscious way.

I work in 4-hour in-person sessions to accommodate your busy schedule. You will be amazed at the progress we can make in 4 focused hours!

1-hour virtual sessions are available upon request. These sessions are perfect for organizing on a budget, organizing a small space, and/or DIY organizing a large space that you need help getting started on (or getting unstuck during).

  • Closet

    Janice is incredibly kind & helpful. I wish I could have her organize my whole house! She has a very calm demeanor making the organizing process feel easy and less stressful. She tackled my entire closet (I have a lot of clothes) in one session and we had 8 bags of items to donate (which she kindly takes to donation for you). She even put all my clothing on new hangers I had purchased to keep a more uniform look to the closet.

  • Storage Room

    We were lucky to have Janice’s support organizing our basement storage room. She was very patient and kept the process moving as I periodically got called away by our kids. I loved that she was prepared to recycle and donate items that we were getting rid of. She immediately donated our extra toys to Weecycle and provided a tax receipt which was an extra bonus. I hope to be able to use her more in the future!

  • Multiple Rooms

    I recently had the opportunity to do two 4-hour sessions with Janice. As a very active family with a lot of hobbies and very little space, every closet and cupboard was full. While I'd tried multiple methods found on pinterest, minimalist blogs, decluttering books and Instagram, nothing really stuck or worked for our family or our space. In our first session, Janice created functional and well organized spaces in our kitchen appliance cabinet, pantry, and bathroom closet, even creating a full baking cabinet. Her approach was simple, practical and very effective. Because she tailors the organization process to what you need, the spaces are functional and stay organized! In our second session, she tackled the linen closet, our insane supply of extra blankets, and the catch-all closet that stores everything from holiday decorations and momentos. She even helped my kiddo declutter and organize the board games and puzzles! We were able to declutter so many items that every closet is now functional and we even have empty shelf space! Janice is extremely kind and empathetic. There is zero judgement throughout the entire process, and the "donate, trash, recycle, belongs in a different place" method was extremely helpful. Not only does she wipe out every space, help you declutter and then organizes the spaces, Janice also takes all of the donate items with her! She was able to discard of old meds properly, had a resource for textile recycling and probably a few other items that I am forgetting. Overall, our entire family enjoyed the process with Janice and her systems have lasted months now, which no other method has managed to do. It has been so easy to keep the organized spaces! If you're looking for help organizing and getting your spaces under control, Janice is definitely the person for you!

    Janice and her team did a really great job in helping me organize some rooms in my house that were getting overwhelming. They got right to work and made it easy for me to make decisions on what I wanted to keep and what needed to go. Janice even labeled boxes and drawers with what was inside making it super simple for me to keep everything straight.     I wanted to downsize my home and I chose to do so incrementally. I have used Just Focus four times.  Two times in the home and two times in the garage. Just looking at all the stuff that was pulled out is enough to make you go lay down. It is quite overwhelming. I took solace that it would all be over in 4 hours. I was asked to come over and decide what to do with the items. Then the organizers put back into the garage what I wanted to keep and labeled the areas so that I could see what was where. The third time, I had them come the weekend before Thanksgiving and I cleaned out the kitchen. I wanted all the upper and some lower cabinets cleaned out. At the end of the four hours (and it took the entire four hours), much was taken away to be disposed of. And all that was left, Janice organized. I am so happy and pleased that I found this service and I sing praises to how much I was able to clean out.
